Stabilize It! Embroidery Stabilizers from Amazing Designs

Quick Facts

• Ideal for items too small for hooping, delicate surfaces that may show hoop marks, or items that cannot be hooped because of thickness of fabric or physical limitations

• Can be used in multiple layers for added stability on medium to high stitch count designs

• Not recommended for high stitch count designs on knits or other unstable fabrics

• Ideal for embroidering on Suede and Ultra Suede, Hats, Socks, Towels, Velour, Velvet, and Other hard-to-hoop items
   

Instructions

• Remove a sheet and hoop the stabilizer with the removable paper side facing up.  Make sure the sabilizer is completely in the hoop

• Using a pin, lightly score the paper only along the inside frame of the hoop.  Do no cut through the stabilizer

• Remove the paper to expose the adhesive

• Finger-press the fabric onto the adhesive to secure it and smooth out any wrinkle.  The fabric may be lifted and repositioned if necessary

• Check the embroidery frequently to ensure that the fabric has not shifted

• After embroidering, gently lift the fabric from the stabilizer and remove any excess pieces
