Heat Transfer Directions for heat press or iron

Heat Press Directions
Remove protective plastic backing from transfer. Place transfer motif on garment or fabric. Place a press cloth or light fabric over the motif if desired. Make certain the temperature and pressure appropriate (see chart below). After applying the transfer once, remove sticky film and discard. Reapply heat again using same temperature, pressure and press cloth. The transfer should now be permanently sealed onto your fabric. When applied properly, it is washable and drycleanable.

Fine Fabrics
(Silk, polysilk, lycra)
Temperature: 325-340 degrees F
Pressure: Light (25-35 lbs)
Time: 7-10 Seconds
Remove clear film
Reapply heat for additional 7-10 seconds

Heavy Fabrics
(jersey, fleece, denim)
Temperature: 350 degrees F
Pressure: Light to medium (30-40 lbs)
Time: 10-12 seconds
Remove clear film
Reapply hear for additional 10-12 seconds

NOTE: We recommend using a protective pad between layers of the fabric to prevent adhesive from gluing the fabric together. Pre-test dark colors or non-reactive dyed fabrics for color change from heat.

Household Iron Directions:
Remove protective plastic backing from Motif. Heat press surface must be flat. Place motif on garmnet with adhesive side against right side of fabric. (If you desire, place a light cloth over the Motif.) Apply heat to motif. Fine fabrics: 7-10 seconds, set on home iron between wool and cotton settings 325-340 degrees F. Apply light pressure. Heavier fabrics 12-15 seconds, use cotton setting 350 degrees F and apply light to medium pressure.

NOTE: If you remove the film and you notice some stones did not adhere, place the film back down and reapply heat with pressure. Then remove clear film. Put a light cloth over the motif and apply heat with light pressure for an additional 7-10 seconds. Household irons use dry iron settings. When applied properly, items can be washable and dry cleaned with care. Not recommended for use on leather, PVC, and plastics. We recommend using a protective pad between thin layers of fabrics to prevent adhesive from gluing layers together.
