I bought my machine when they first came out and it still works. I have a top of the line machine I bought for ten times as much as this brother and the expensive one doesn't have an automatic thread cutter. This is my go to machine. The embroidery designs come out very nice. I'm making a Mickey Mouse quilt for my grandson, Agustin, that is looking very nice. Don't let the price fool you, it's worth it's weight in gold.

wonderful lightweight

I first purchased several years ago as my "go to class" machine because it is so lightweight and fits in a generic wheeled sewing machine bag. I have it's updated version also that doesn't have a thread cassette too. One I travel with and one stays home. I also have a 6 needle Brother 620II. Love the company and the machines!
